About Us

Greenhat Interactive Limited is a Social Enterprise, working in the field of social regeneration conducting research and developing projects to make education and employment more accessible to disadvantaged groups.

The name was taken from Edward de Bono’s book: “Six Thinking Hats”, the green hat symbolises:

creative thinking, new concepts, new ways of working, new ideas and the drive for change.

We use the term “interactive” as that is a prime design feature of the learning materials we develop – they must be fully interactive in order to engage the learner.

Greenhat works in partnership with other public, voluntary or private sector organisations to research, develop, implement and support joint projects in order to promote social inclusion by increasing the accessibility and engagement potential of educational materials and training by placing the learner at the centre of the design process.

Our mission is to facilitate independence and access to sustainable employment for people with disabilities.

We pursue this remit through the development of accessible, pre-vocational learning materials and the capacity building of employers to make workplaces and employment fully accessible to the whole community by increasing their awareness of the potential of disadvantaged people to make a positive contribution to the economy.

GHI uses its skills and abilities and its experience of working with disadvantaged groups in the UK and in partnership with other organisations in all sectors across Europe, to develop a range of innovative projects to increase the employability skills of excluded groups.

It aims to develop social enterprises, social firms and intermediate labour markets to increase the employment opportunities available to our target groups and to meet the challenges of the government’s strategies on service delivery on improving the life chances of disabled people and on learning for living and work.

Social Aims and Objectives:

Greenhat Interactive was formed in 2002 by Jacqui Lewis with the aim to provide disadvantaged people with the chance to improve their ability to make a positive contribution to their own lives, and the economy in general.
